Coronavirus

And here the ring master chimes in

to us lay ppl it’s the flu
I’ll be nice and not tell u what to do with your dna n rna sequence

to us lay ppl it’s the flu
Aye there's the rub. By constantly down playing it as "the flu", folks are lulled into a false complacency, but that's OK for some, since ignorance is bliss...

For some who may want to know the genomic differences, here you go...

Coronaviruses and influenza viruses are both enveloped, single-stranded RNA viruses, and both are encapsidated by nucleoprotein. However, the genomes of these 2 viruses differ in polarity and segmentation. Influenza virus is comprised of 8 single-stranded negative-sense, viral RNA segments. SARS-CoV-2 has single-stranded, non-segmented, positive-sense, viral RNA.

So based on genome, COVID could be considered "closer" to Polio than it is to flu since Polio is also a single-stranded, positive sense RNA virus, but of course you knew that.

And don't be going around saying I'm saying COVID is close to Polio, I'm just using this as a FACTUAL REPRESENTATION of how inane and incorrect it is to say COVID is "The Flu"...

One day we will suffer something serious and this chicken little craps going to hurt us big time
Lord help us if it happens soon
We will be neither financially or emotionally prepared to deal with it as a country

Dint

don’t need to Compare it to the flu
Saying it’s not a flu virus is like saying delta isn’t covid
if was a flu it's be one hell of a killer flu - the worst anyone on this planet has seen......

I posted this once before but either you didn't see it or chose to ignore as it didn't fit your convoluted narrative:

How many Americans die from flu each year?

While the impact of flu varies, it places a substantial burden on the health of people in the United States each year. CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.

Disease Burden of Influenza | CDC

There have been in the US alone 37 million cases & 623,000 deaths as a result of COVID. So less cases of COVID then flu but the death rate from COVID is ten times worse. This in spite of a massive mitigation effort.

Another thing to consider. The flu barely made an appearance during 2020-2021 largely in part due to the efforts to slowdown the spread of COVID.

How Covid-19 Precautions Have Kept Flu Cases Low

The United States has recorded just over 1,000 cases of the flu since September 2020, which is unusually low, Sara Kiley Watson reports for Popular Science.

During the same time period last winter, the country recorded over 65,000 cases of the flu. But in the last year, the Covid-19 pandemic has changed a lot about the way that people act to prevent the spread of disease. Precautions like wearing masks, taking extra care when washing hands, and keeping activities outdoors and at a distance from others have all been implemented to slow the spread of Covid-19. The same measures may have stymied the spread of influenza and other seasonal viruses.

"I’d be very surprised if we have a typical flu season now,” says virologist John McCauley, the director of the Francis Crick Institute’s Worldwide Influenza Centre, to
Science magazine’s Kelly Servick. “To see nothing so far, it’s difficult to see how it’s going to come up in large numbers in January.”

Countries across the Northern Hemisphere are seeing a quiet flu season. In England, flu cases are about one-twentieth of the usual cases at this time of year, Linda Geddes reports for the
Guardian. The Southern Hemisphere saw a similar phenomenon between June and August, when influenza cases usually peak, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported in September.

Flu vaccination rates are also higher than usual this year. In 2019, about 42 percent of adults in the U.S. received the flu vaccine; this year, 53 percent have. That would also tamp down the spread of influenza, although it doesn’t account for the entire drop in flu cases this year, McCauley tells Science magazine.

That right there speaks volumes that your efforts to poo poo the use of masks & vaccines as ineffective are largely wrong.

Ok so it was a killer flu

DNA and RNA sequences ARE real life, without them, you won't be experiencing Jack...
Real life experiances
As in out and about
Not on paper or in some lab
Not living in seclusion on my pvt island
Not hiding in the woods

Real life out and about with real ppl
Since day one

I’ll take my exp over your dna rna sequences any day

Now a days engines are plugged in a diagnostic computer to figure out what’s wrong. Do you know how many times it ends up back over and over again because a nerd is involved and the word of a mechanic is not allowed being it’s under warranty? “Endless” as 25 of ours go back what seems like monthly to fix the same problem it went in for to begin with.
IMO if it looks like a flu and acts like a flu. It’s a flu. It’s just a new flu and no one besides me and half the earth have the ability to fight it. Sucks to be the rest of you.

Yes, your right. Just like the flu!

Attacks the internal organs...just like the flu!:unsure:

Triggers fatal cytokine response causing death......just like the flu!

Scars the heart muscle...just like the flu!

Causes clotting...just like the flu!

Geez.....why didnt they just give everyone a Zpack and call it a day??

People often mistake the flu for a bad cold, since flu symptoms mimic a cold. When you catch the flu, you might experience coughing, sneezing, runny nose, hoarse voice, and a sore throat.

But flu can progress into conditions like pneumonia, or worsen other chronic issues like chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and congestive heart failure, which can quickly become life-threatening.

Flu can directly lead to death when the virus triggers severe inflammation in the lungs. When this happens, it can cause rapid respiratory failure because your lungs can’t transport enough oxygen into the rest of your body.

The flu can also cause your brain, heart, or muscles to become inflamed. This can lead to sepsis, an emergency condition that can be fatal if not immediately treated.

If you develop a secondary infection while you have the flu, that can also cause your organs to fail. The bacteria from that infection can get into your bloodstream and cause sepsis, as well.

In adults, symptoms of life-threatening flu complications include:

  • feeling short of breath
  • trouble breathing
  • disorientation
  • feeling suddenly dizzy
  • abdominal pain that is severe
  • pain in the chest
  • severe or ongoing vomiting

I know who keeps corrupting my post but only want to know why some can post political points regarding COVID but others cannot.

In a day or two
Maybe a week when the charts and graphs start to show a drop in cases ( again)
How are you sheep going to try and sow fear and division
Ny and the north east took its turn in the barrel along with some mid and western states

Florida , Oregon , Hawaii and a few others are in the barrel now driving this spike

and I’d bet that after a lull were going to get another batch

your going to need to find a better way to stoke fear soon , eventually ppl will catch on

da news says there wasn't a Flu Season of last, with zero fatalities from da flu bug, where did it go... cellfish...
Most believe social distancing, masks, the horrible shutdowns, vacations spoiled, grankids unhugged, and washing ones hands was the reason. Ever notice in a restroom before the china virus how few men actually washed their hands after either "process?"
