Coronavirus

Fox News Media, whose TV personalities are among the largest purveyors of reckless anti-mask, anti-vaccine propaganda, has determined that in order to work in their offices employees will need the company’s version of a … vaccine passport.

I mean, hypocrisy much?

An internal Fox memo was obtained by Adweek.

It said in part that owing to the delta variant of COVID-19, the company said it was requiring “all employees – whether on site as part of our essential workforce or working remotely,” to enter their vaccination status into a human resources database.

Interesting, Dr. Markary has been on both sides of the "war". His problem with the vaccine is more a logistical one than a scientific one. He believes that the entire rollout, including mandates, has been a huge Fuster Cluck, and believes a more targeted rollout, focusing on the more susceptible population.

REGARDLESS, you "I'm not wearing a Face Diaper" will just love some of his other OpEd pieces....

Dr. Marty Makary, a surgeon and professor at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, has become highly visible during the coronavirus pandemic, authoring provocative commentary for national newspapers and appearing on some of the highest-rated shows on television. His frequent contributions to conservative media peg him as an iconoclast and darling of the anti-vaxxers. But Makary’s role in pandemic punditry is complicated.

Over the course of the crisis, he’s been attacked as an alarmist and praised as a challenger to the medical establishment. He believes vaccines save lives but that the nation’s vaccination rollout was “boneheaded” and aspects of it still misguided.

As the crisis emerged, in March 2020, Makary warned the Fox News audience that the U.S. would have “hundreds of thousands of deaths and millions of people with the infection” and lamented a nation “still in denial.” The blowback from Fox viewers, he says, was harsh.

Two months later, The New York Times published a long Makary opinion piece that suggested universal masking as a way for the nation to reopen safely after the lockdowns of late winter and spring.

Just when you thought they've finally corralled all the lunatics, one escapes!!

In fairness, if the person who originally wrote about the "Micro Octopi" ever saw a representation of an IgM antibody molecule, something your body makes in an early state of infection and vaccination, they may have mistaken that for an octopus. Regardless, there isn't any IgM in any of the vaccines...

N.H. Lawmaker Blasted for Spreading False Claims About 'Octopus-Like Creatures' in COVID Vaccines

Democrats and the state's Republican governor have called for Rep. Ken Weyler to be removed as chair of an influential committee after he emailed the conspiracy theories to colleagues

A New Hampshire lawmaker is facing backlash for reportedly circulating wild conspiracy theories to his colleagues about COVID-19 vaccines, "octopus-like creatures" and babies born with "pitch-black eyes."

After Rep. Ken Weyler forwarded a 52-page document full of outlandish claims to fellow members of a committee he chairs, according to InDepthNH.org, statehouse Democrats and Republican Gov. Chris Sununu said he should be removed from his leadership role.

The document, titled "The Vaccine Death Report" and published by InDepthNH.org, contains false claims about the vaccines the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved fully or through "rigorous, scientific standards" for emergency use authorization.

So far 186 million Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID-19, with almost 400 million doses administered of the vaccine the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention call "safe and effective."

"The vaccines met the Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) rigorous scientific standards for safety, effectiveness, and manufacturing quality needed to support approval or authorization of a vaccine," the CDC says.

Yet Weyler, a Republican and chair of the Joint Fiscal Committee, forwarded the document which cites alleged Facebook comments from people who claimed loved ones died after getting vaccinated.

It also claims that living organisms with tentacles were found in vials of vaccines. "This creature moves around, lifts itself up, and even seems to be self aware," the document states.

In Mexico, babies of vaccinated parents are born with "pitch-black eyes," according to the document's baseless claims. "It also appears that these babies are aging too fast, as they can stand and even walk at only three months old."

Weyler spoke with InDepthNH.org by phone and acknowledged "there's exaggeration on both sides."

"I'm speaking my mind as a state rep. and skeptical person," Weyler said, adding he won't step down from his position and that he looks to "sources other than the CDC" for information about the safety of vaccines. (Reached at his home office on Wednesday, Weyler's wife told PEOPLE she would forward on a request for comment which he did not immediately return.)

In a letter to the Republican speaker, Rep. Sherman Packard, the Democratic Leader, Rep. Renny Cushing, called the report circulated by Weyler "disturbing to read from any elected official, let alone the Chair of committees to which critical funding for pandemic response is directed."

Cushing also pointed out "offensive anti-Catholic and antisemitic conspiracies" contained in the document, which claims the existence of a "Grey Pope" inside the Vatican, calling the figure the "supreme puppet master" operating "entirely in the shadows, from where he yields enormous power over the world."

"We hope you agree that this kind of bigotry should never be disseminated by elected officials in any capacity," Cushing wrote.

The letter requests that the speaker remove Weyler from his chairmanship "as we are not confident in his ability to lead."

In a statement, Gov. Sununu, a Republican, agreed with Democrats. "I have repeatedly expressed directly to Speaker Packard about the need to remove Weyler from this position of leadership," Sununu said, according to the Associated Press. "These latest absurd emails have accelerated the urgency that the Speaker needs to take action. Disseminating this misinformation clearly shows a detachment from reality and lack of judgment."

when I first glanced, I thought his name was Dr. Malarkey

A "Partial Data Presentation". 1st the clock starts when everyone is fully vaccinated and there has been a rush on first doses lately, so you should be showing fully vaccinated numbers along with the surge.

Regardless, all Emergency Mandates like Mask Wearing, Limited Capacities, etc. were lifted on June 30 just in time for the Delta Invasion so guess what started rising??? Actually it's a great example to show how the different mandates work, and, as expected, the vast majority of the cases in the surge are in unvaccinated cases.

BY 6/15 there were 1.56MM cumulative doses administered to a population of 1.3MM. The big surge in doses was between March and June (about 1.1MM)

And once again, although some folks say they don't work, even when they do, the Mask Mandate, and other restrictions ended on June 30, along with the fact that as of June 30 only 61% of the population was FULLY vaccinated. Here I'll save you some research as of today, only 69% of the state is FULLY vaccinated. The number of vaccinations administered doesn't mean Jack.

Try providing ALL the relevant facts and data when you try to make a case...

Correlation does equal causation. You should know this.

That said, there is a huge spike in cases in Maine from March through the present, which neatly coincides with the Vax rollout and mass adoption in March. And yes, with Mask mandates lifted in JUNE, perhaps that exacerbated the trendline.

Point being, you can't claim Masklessness (if thats a word) is the SOLE contributor to the spike in cases in Maine, since the spike started in March (pre Delta) and the Masklessness began in June.

In terms of total population, we also need to look at the population that is actually ELIGIBLE for the Vax, which would reduce the topline. and increase the overall % vaxed in the state. But again, you know this.

And further, we would need to segment cases in March forward by age group, and comorbities, as well as asymptomatic cases, which have conveniently stopped being reported by the CDC. But again, you know this as well.

Never said the dropping of the mandates would have prevented the Delta Surge. Extension of the State of Emergency Mandates including masking would have certainly helped lessen it. I was extremely disappointed when on the cusp of the Delta Surge, states across the country lifted restrictions. That only helped Delta make it's quick run up, especially in a state like Maine which was coming off some of the most restrictive, and longest in-place mandates and restrictions; the old risk/benefit $$ equation, the risk of continued infection against the loss/gain of the economy. Maine wasn't about to lose another summer tourist season...

Finally found the exact number for the current vaccine eligible population, see below. The % fully vaccinated as of June 30 was 64% and the current % fully vaccinated is 75%, both numbers NOT what is recognized to be Herd Immunity numbers.

I was infuriated, and mentioned it here, when Herd Immunity was "SOLD" to the public as around 60-65% during the vaccine rollout, especially since it's a USDA number for herds of livestock, and they expect at least 90% immunity to allow a farmer to declare his herd has immunity. Suddenly now, public health officials started vocally ramping up the numbers for herd immunity from those 60s, and I have heard mid-80 percentages being quoted as of late.

The internet detectives will only provide the information that is provided for them.

Masks work. GOOD
The vaccine works. BETTER
Natural immunity. BEST

Very simple concepts. Natural immunity is difficult to achieve without overwhelming your Healthcare system and decimating vulnerable segments of the population.

So, we do what we can which some obviously have a problem with. Mask, distance, vax.

“Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Death”. You hide if you want or your asking for a war. I’ve said it before only 3% made this a country. As it looks now it’s up to 30% that won’t conform to the will of tyranny. This flu was made by the same nerds that say you should use a mask and shoot their drugs. “Take this and you won’t get, fail” “Wear this and you cant catch it, fail”. “Everyone gets it and you win, VICTORY!” Darwinism is still in play and in the lead.
You know what’s funny about American tyrants? We are all going to die but our tyrants actually made laws telling you how you can die. You all want to be Judge, Jury, and Executioners, for the greater good of course. What jokes.

Agreed, it aligns with the French perspective of "A few colonists helped us hand Great Britain a major defeat in North America", as opposed more provincial perspective of the French gave us a little help throwing off the yoke of British tyranny.

Somehow over the years we thought we did it ourselves when the bottom line is without the French, especially the fleet bottling up Cornwallis in Yorktown, it would been all for naught. Remember the sincere Doughboy Exclamation of "Lafayette we are here", as they landed in France for WWI...

A little paranoid are you?

This thread was about a virus. YOU turned it into a political forum.........sad

Mask, distance, vax..........suddenly those 3 words mean ignite thoughts of Tyranny..............Assinine!

It’s not the words
It’s they way they are being used
It’s the actions they are bringing about
It’s the lives they are destroying

the only thing making this political is the fact that the words and actions they cause are manipulated like most other things by the left

and I think I’ve said this before
At this point in history
All things are political there is no way to separate the politics out of every and any part of our lives it’s simply not possible

All things are political there is no way to separate the politics out of every and any part of our lives it’s simply not possible
All things have BECOME political.

Its your mindset that has focused the ills in your life and society on "the other party"!

My life’s fine thank you
Nothing either party does will affect it at this point
I can play the game from either side

what the left has and is doing to the country , the young and the disadvantaged is however a tragedy

Iceland on Oct. 8 halted the use of the Moderna vaccine against the CCP virus due to reports from Nordic countries of “increased incidence” of inflammation of heart muscle and tissues triggered by the injection.

Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway have already limited the use of the Moderna vaccine over the same concerns. Iceland went further than its neighbors and stopped using the vaccine entirely.

“In recent days, there has been data from the Nordic countries on the increased incidence of myocarditis and pericarditis after vaccination with Moderna vaccine in addition to vaccination with Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty),” an announcement from Iceland’s Directorate of Health stated.
“As there is a sufficient supply of Pfizer vaccine in Iceland for both the pre-vaccine activation vaccines and the primary vaccinations of those who have not yet been vaccinated, the epidemiologist has decided not to use the Moderna vaccine in Iceland, while providing further information on the safety of the Moderna vaccine.”
Sweden limited the use of the Moderna shot on Oct. 6 to those born before 1991. The Swedish health agency said at the time that new data from Swedish and other Nordic sources “indicate that the connection is especially clear” between Moderna’s vaccine and side effects “especially after the second dose.”

“Both myocarditis and pericarditis often go away on their own, without causing any lasting problems, but suspicious symptoms should be assessed by a doctor at … a health center or emergency room,” the agency stated, noting that “medical treatment and monitoring in hospital may be needed in established cases.”
Norway and Denmark have recommended the Pfizer vaccine for children aged 12-17. In Iceland, only the Pfizer vaccine has been recommended for the 12-17 age group.

Finland on Oct. 7 discontinued the use of the Moderna shot for men under the age of 30.

That decision came one day after Sweden and Denmark halted the use of the vaccine for the younger age groups.

Iceland had been using the Moderna vaccine almost exclusively as a booster shot for those who received the Johnson&Johnson vaccine, according to the Health Directorate. The Nordic nation had also been using the Moderna vaccine as a booster for two-dose vaccinations of the elderly and immunocompromised.

According to the World Health Organization, more than 75 percent of Iceland’s population has been fully vaccinated against the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus, which causes COVID-19.

A total of 33 people died from COVID-19 in Iceland since the start of the pandemic.

Absolutely not!!! And every time a lefty doesn’t get their way they cry the same shit! And no I’m not paranoid it’s about exactly what I said. Do what we say or we will guilt aka force you to comply. That is Tyranny or Authoritarianism or communism, take your pick. Spade is a spade not a trans-spade.

Left, right. If all predictions are correct, this will be a long cold winter with high fuel and food costs and more Covid.

American dominance is gone with no one but ourselves to blame. Left AND right!
