Sheesh, I was furious with the CDC already, now I'm just apoplectic!! I'm especially furious with their another reason is fear that the information might be misinterpreted comment which might have been OK, if there wasn't so much pressure on CDC to have individual States come up with mandates, etc. It's disingenuous NOT to provide all the data if you're putting the onus on the States.

Some very smart scientists gave sound guidance to both administrations. Problem was the disconnect between science and politics which has only gotten worse.

I "broke" this story a page or two ago, and it was from the NYTimes. Surprised it took this long for Journalism Hallmarks like The Daily Wire to "woke" up on it...

Of course, in CDC's extremely flimsy, if not non-existent, defense, one of their rationales was reporting the data could have misrepresentative articles publish.

IMO, that decision is not CDC's call, but a huge declaration of how the US Educational System has failed to nurture cognitive thinking, resulting in ovine habits on both sides of an issue...

And to me, "Aye, there's the rub" in that I cannot make educated decisions/evaluations on a topic if I don't have all the data. As a more eloquent colleague of mine once observed, "You can't make chicken salad out of chicken chit"...

SMFH. I signed up for my free Federal COVID Ag Tests the day before the supposed launch date back on Jan 19 and hadn't received them by last week when Maine advertised free tests also, which I also registered for.

Well on Tuesday, both the Federal and State kits arrived, just in time to sit in inventory to hopefully expire, unless another variant-induced wave kicks in...
