Your choice of proper angling attire but I do like the pink (is it tape?) on the rod. I like matching rods to my reels too.

I was working in Westhampton the other day and picked this up at Warrens while on a Home Depot run. Going to spin one up during this weekend storm.

That's a particularly nice unit. It has the trick aluminum Pawl instead of the standard chrome over bronze "boat anchor" pawl, for faster casting.

Pink tape is from Winn Grips. Pro Tip: if you use that stuff (and it IS very nice!), first wrap the blank in Scotch double-sided cello tape - because the adhesive on the Winn tape sux.

Sadly all I have left is the pic. It was instantly confiscated once I got home. Which of the "3 Sisters" it ended up with I'm not sure. Definatly not showing them the Catalina or your Proteus.

Not at all, just the opposite. In fact I'm trying my best to accomodate it. See? Even in my early old-age, I can learn to be more empathetic toward "uniquely challenged" individuals. Its been a long jouney, believe me!

In my early morning e-travels yesterday, I happened across a for-sale ad which can help assuage “pinkaphobes” such as yourself, who may have passed on the original offer, because: “pink.”
