Fished the inlet from 7 to 12. Place was mobbed but I found a spot away from the crowd. Set up one rod and was working on the second and the first rod gets hit. Landed a short fluke on a striped bass rig with a bunker chunk. Weed was tolerable but that was the only hit. I plugged with a 3 rd rod as almost every 15 minutes a big fish would break the surface chasing bait, but nothing.
Fluke where actually swimming up to the rocks attacking bait right below me, I never saw that before, it was pretty cool. I also picked up a brand new fluke setup that was just below the waterline?? Did a micro beach cleanup before I left and filled half a garbage bag.
Just as I was leaving the Park Police came and busted a couple riding a quad in the dunes. Good job officer.
