Finally got that Peacock Bass!

I just returned from a week in the sunshine state and after two blow outs I managed to get in 4 hours in the Everglades in search of my first Peacock Bass. Had quite a day including this beauty.

I need to be a snow bird.

The only fish I eat out of freshwater are trout and walleye. I tried smallmouth bass once and it was mush. One thing is sure, they fight better than a smallmouth.

My in-laws just bought a place in Naples. I will research to see if I can find them there. Early rumor says yes, possibly on golf courses.

Yes George, they fight hard, had 5#’s on 5 foot ugly stick, 6# test lotsa fun... as is snow birding...be well enjoy... cellie...

When in Naples book a trip with Fishunt charters in Everglades city.capt Wayne has a 18 flats boat . Wife and I fished with him last year and are going again soon. Highly recommend him

Everglades city is a 30 min ride about. All fishing community . Did you find his website?
