Firewood

I actually fired my stove up yesterday afternoon when I saw it was 40 outside and 60 inside
I was anxious to burn a hot fire with some anti creosote stuff one more time as an end of season chimney treatment 👍
I've pretty much been in the 70's during the day & down to mid to high 50's at night - we only got to 58 today & it's now down to low 50's - so................

My neighbor and I were just saying this might be the latest burn we had in years.

I was lit yesterday. He was had the fireplace on today.

I burned in the fire pit outback today but not inside.

Once the garden is done and I clear it I will have to make a plan for getting a cord dumped.

Decided the wood will be stacked in the garden area this year.
Had too many varments hiding in and around the stack, if i stack in front of garden i can keep it clear and clean from both sides and even cover when its going to snow or rain.

Trying to make a better plan for the wood this year.
Behind the shed and up against fence is not good.

My old (24 yrs) gas saw started bogging down and I suspect its the carb when a new air filter and fuel filter didn't help. So I decided to take advantage of a Labor Day sale and ordered a battery Husqvarna chainsaw.
I am thinking of a ryobi bat trimmer & saw for clearing some hedges.
I thought of getting a price from a scaper but figured i can do it myself with my chainsaw and a new trimmer.

And so it begins. First small fire to start the new heating season.
