First Light

Left the dock at 4 am. Fished various rockpiles around the Tin Can Grounds. Saw a couple of Dolphin pods scattered around.
Here's a question, how do Dolphins and other apex predators affect fishing?

Anyhow, I've made it a habit to make a couple casts with the bucktail over any structure, marks or not. I got slammed by a nice bass, quick pic and released.

Snagged a fairly large stringray too which had me fooled.
I saw some kind of very large fish swimming slowly about 2 feet under the surface. I don't believe it was a shark. I tossed my bucktail at it but was ignored.
Back at the dock @ 6:30

Dolphins can really put a stop to action. They'll scatter the bait and kill the bite.
A few years ago, my buddy and I were catch small Jacks off Fort Myers. The dolphins actually took the jacks right off our hooks.
Crazy, but pretty cool.
