So I'm pulling into my dock this evening and I see a surface disturbance. Looked like the tail of a shark trying to swim out of the shallows, but then I remarked, "That might be a Mola Mola!!!" As I motored toward it, I realized it was a Mola Mola, "Scarface" to be exact, the local one I've seen multiple times in the Bay, so named because of the scar across his face from a prop strike.
Now to get things in perspective, my dock is 1.6 nmi from the harbor entrance, which means it's 4.1 nmi from the open Gulf of Maine!!! Unbelievable!!!
