This photo has to be from either the UK or Ireland. Believe it or not, this photo has an interesting historical/social significance. As late as the 1990s UK & Ireland, normal bathroom sinks, and many kitchen sinks still had single valves and faucets for hot and cold water.

AAMOF, in 1944, when Winston Churchill was in Yalta for the meeting with Stalin & FDR, he first came in contact with a bathroom faucet that hat both hot and cold coming from a single faucet. He was so impressed with the "genius" of this bathroom fixture he spent a few paragraphs waxing poetic about it in his memoirs, believe it or not. I was laughing out loud the whole time I was reading that passage...
