Towed the boat to the local station in town for a fill up before splashing it
They have been consistently 30 to 40 cents higher than stations in riverhead or up island so I never go there with the jeeps
Towing all the way to riverhead was just asking for trouble with my old trailer
When I pulled in the guy asked me how much I was getting and I said prolly at least 50 gallons
He was nice enuf to set the pump for the cash price even though I was paying by card?
$261.75 later I actually felt I got a bargain

I hardly used my boat at all the last half dozen years (which is why I sold it last month) but have to say that driving my kayak one mile to the town park just further reinforces my decision to finally sell the Sea Pro. Then again my big boy toy (2010 Ford Ranger) has just 29K on it. I actually had to replace the tires due to cracking sidewalls, lol. I think I saw $4.59 at Freeport BJs yesterday returning from the Atlantic Nursery and $4.89 locally.

My go to Gulf station still has same price cash or credit - at least for the time being.

the gas at my Bolla Market, IDK, Mobil?, Amoco? but not Shell, has always been same price for credit. when I go there next will have to check. But Discover card through June 30 is 5% back so...
