Soup's on again for the 4th day in a row, this time with some much needed rain; it's both dry and the cars are filthy so they get a natural wash.

Happy Saturday NYA!! Hope everyone has a great, healthy and safe one. This morning's nearly full moon setting over the river made for the first clear morning in 5 days, nice to see it.

Might run up to a sugarhouse to stock up on some maple syrup. We like the "first run" syrup, which is a lighter, more delicate syrup and it's virtually impossible to find in any store, you have to go right to the source. It doesn't help that this place has the absolute best maple flavored cotton candy. I despise normal cotton candy, but this stuff is fantastic!!

Cloudy right now in Freeport, with heavy rain forecasted later. Think I'll wash the car again.

Wash the car in the rain, WTH am I talking about? It's called the New England, Mud Season Car Wash, where you let Mother Nature wash the mud from our "gravel", dirt, roads crusted on your car. No sense actually washing a car, because the second you leave your driveway, it's going to get dirty right away. Used to freak out my BIL from CT, as he'd wash his car before coming up and do nothing but moan and groan about his dirty car when he got up here. Now that he lives here, his cars have that same dingy, mud "patina" as the rest of us.

I did a "prewash" in Friday's rain, and it was a pretty good job, as you can see from the dust accumulated on the driveway. Figure today's heavy rain will complete the job...
