Although the History Channel has at times "rewritten history", they've been better as of late. Polish Army members who got out of Poland after the German invasion did fight with the Brits. There was a Polish RAF squadron in the Battle of Britain and there were Polish units involved with the Normandy D-Day invasion.
The History Channel's worst sin was their "Sons of Liberty" miniseries a few years ago. It was so full of historically incorrect representations it should have been aired on Comedy Central. I found myself throwing things at the TV screaming, "BULLCHIT!!!!!"
