yes, free bait, in 2 feet of water, I hooked this Jack Crevalle with half of a Ballyhoo, very similar to needlefish…

collected 12 bags of 5-6 bait… gave 6 bags to neighbor Leo…

Jack Crevalle dosent have a good eating reputation, but since I have a gas grill and Jack is fresh, marinating in spicy spices, i’ll give it a try today… cell…

And what is the verdict??

well, to start, I did bleed it right away, i didn’t soak it in milk, i didn’t cut the red line out, i did let dry rub with heavy spices, cumin, oregano, chili powder, oil, salt & pepper, overnight…

Gas Grilled, Hot, its taste was a fresh piece of fish should be, with a bite similar to beef… not a soft as bluefish…

it wasn’t flounder that’s for sure… but , not gonna throw em back anymore…

great fish for TACOS… cell…
