OK, starting to breath a bit easier as only 1 of the 4 models I believe in have it hitting "Vacationland". Last night it was "I'm hauling the boat" to this AM's, "Maybe not" since the timing here says it will hit me around low tide. My biggest fear for the boat was storm surge and not wind/rain/waves since my dock is very well protected from easterly winds; you could light a cigar on deck in a raging Nor'easter.

BTW, in case this hasn't been mentioned before, the "Cone of Uncertainty" we look at only has a 66.66% certainty that the eye of the storm will be in that area, so there's a 1 in three chance that they eye will be outside it, so read them with a few grains of salt...

I too am happy to see the models shifting back to the east again.
At least if you get some effects in your area you will be on the "left" side of the storm and North wind pushing water away instead of the "right" side that's pushing water in at you.....

So, if that green band causes a gust of wind around 25 MPH to "hit" Long Island, does that count as a "hit" based on projections? Asking for a friend. LOL
