The system i mentioned is going to move away from long Island the only impact might be swells again. Last update.

I am watching another system in the open Atlantic. Right now it has 60 percent chance in the next seven days. If it continues to strengthen it will impact the south shore with swells once again. The time frame is late next week. Next update is 8pm tonight. Then the next update will be if it becomes a named storm.

NOAA is still calling for an above normal Hurricane season. Also between 2-5 major hurricanes. In my opinion I just don't see it. Most major hurricanes that form come off of Africa and make the long trip across the open Atlantic. Right now there is alot of dry air that is choking all systems. Unless the dry air subsides it's over for all systems coming off of Africa. This will be my final update in this thread this season unless a landfall occurs. If there are any swells affecting the south shore of long Island i will update in the weather thread.

Tropical storm Erin has formed it is forecasted to become a major hurricane by Saturday plenty of time to look at it. Next update if it becomes a hurricane next update after that is if it makes landfall.

There are 3 other systems but all 3 are not noting at all this is the last update on all 3. Will be updating erin when conditions warrant. If this makes landfall in NYC it will be next Wednesday. Still plenty of time to look at it.
