Ran over to Cow Harbor Bait and Tackle on a cold frosty Saturday morning. Chatted up Mark for a little before walking out with soon to be cut up green crabs. Pretty busy in the shop with everyone having tog on the brain. Dropped the boat in @10:15 and headed out to surprisingly wavy Sound. Took our time to avoid any spray and dropped the anchor in 30 ft of water around Eatons Neck. Down went the crabs and soon enough, up came the togs. The sun played hide and seek for a while, but soon enough the wind dropped out around high slack, and we were able to take off a layer as the temps climbed into the 40's. Just a beautiful afternoon on the water. Re set the anchor once as the outgoing picked up steam, but we were basically out of bait. The 4 of us had plenty of action for the 3 hours we were out, going through 8 dozen crab and managing a couple of keepers each, with so many 15 inchers that went back. A few porgy, hackleheads, a winter flounder and a keeper Sea Bass also came over the rail. Water temps showed 58 degrees.
