How is that Kayak when the tide is running fast? You ever consider getting a Jet Ski to fish ? You'd cover a lot more ground, fish the inlet as well.

Backbay only for me. Wind can be an issue and at midtide i might use the wind in opposition, sometimes throwing over a diy drift sock made from our local politico’s re-useable grocery bag handouts ! No stiff current in backbay, “4” at most. Could care less about the inlet and outside. Don’t miss the stinkboat at all. You have to consider that at 72 i had stinkboats half my life. No more. A jet ski. LOL ! I had paddled back to the ramp, cleaned the fish and was swimming in my pool by 1130.
