Invasive Species Awareness Week 2020: June 7-13
DEC and NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets have announced that New York State's annual Invasive Species Awareness Week (ISAW) will be held June 7-13. ISAW is an educational campaign featuring numerous events focusing on invasive species statewide. During the ongoing COVID-19 public health crisis, organizations are encouraged to plan virtual experiences and events that incorporate social distancing guidelines and give New Yorkers the opportunity to participate from the safety of their homes.
Organizations interested in hosting an event should visit the NYS Invasive Species Awareness Week website for more information and provide their local PRISM coordinators with details about local events by May 25 to ensure they can be added to the statewide list.
