yes the fresh kills//great kills landfill,,,,,,,,,those were the chit years on the island cellfish,, lucky maureen and i was not close to the smell we lived on the north shore,,,,funny story when my son was small him and i went shopping to the staten island mall for christmas? ( and that was in the winter} to this day and hes in his 30s now,, he still says to me remember that bad smell we both allmost threw up before we went inside ,,,,,,,,,,part of that landfill was right in front of the mall,,,,if the wind was blowing to the mall hold your nose?,,,,, they planted trees all down the road just to hide the dump like that going to help ? hahaha,,,,,,,,,, ><)))):>

was out on the bay for weaks again this morning. Hot ? Windless ? Neither. Totally overcast and the brisk 10 mph south wind was throwing up whitecaps everywhere. Wind against tide and the tide (current) was losing. But back up to the ramp it seemed like the temperature went up a degree every third million dollar house or so. Yup beautiful weakie again as well.

Sweat City… cleaning up the balcony a bit, sweating my brow off… 80* @ dew point +70… windless too… ?

84 going to 85 here. But humid. 10mph SW breeze and "real feel" in the mid 90s. Had to actually waste some water on the zoysia this morning. Again. For the third freakin' time this summer !! Worst drought here in many years. Most rain went well north so far since early June. Not that I want a thunderstorm with 70mph wind.

This past July in NYC was hot. Where does it stand historically?

This past July was two degrees hotter than normal, according to the National Weather Service.
