KFA-NY's February Indoor meeting. Troy Meyerhoeffer will be speaking on Freshwater Kayak Fishing.
Our indoor meetings are free and open to the public.
This is our West Meeting. Held at LEVITTOWN KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS 3581 Jeffries Rd, Levittown, NY 11756 on 2/13/19, 7:00-9ish.
As always Coffee, Cake, Donuts. Maybe a showing of these Pickle Potato Chips (I've still never seen) from the UTZ Guy.
Troy Meyerhoeffer is an avid kayak fisherman and lover of all things outdoors. He grew up fishing Virginia's rivers and farm ponds. His mother taught him to fish for native trout and his father often took him bass fishing and hunting in the Shenandoah region. Some of his fondest childhood memories are of fishing for trout in the early morning hours and having his grandfather fix them for breakfast.
He moved to New York 9 years ago and currently lives in Inwood, with his wife and two children, 5-year old Liam and 3 year old Grace. Troy spends his days taking care of Liam and Grace and takes them fishing and hiking every chance he gets.
When he is not spending time with his family, he likes to unwind in his Wilderness Systems ATAK 140 or Commander 140. You can find him fishing the waters from VA to Maine. His passion for kayak fishing started when his wife got him a kayak. The first day on the water, he realized that he had found his passion and has never looked back. Since then, he finds every opportunity he can to be on the water and keeps the car full of fishing gear, so that he can be off at a moments notice. Troy has been known to pull over when traveling to get in a few casts anytime he sees a particularly interesting body of water. (From Wilderness Systems)
Troy is also a Rep, for Torqueedo. For any interested in High Power electric motors.
For those that can't get enough of us we'll also be at the Freeport - NY Sport Federation Show, Saturday 1/16/19.
If you ever wanted to get into kayak fishing, placid to extreme. Here's you chance to talk to those that do it, about it.
