Kid was cleaning graffiti off a wall and somehow happened to discharge his weapon. Why not look into how he was being assaulted by the “peaceful protesters”.

New York's attorney general on Friday recommended the New York Police Department get out of the business of routine traffic enforcement, a radical change she said would prevent encounters like one last year in the Bronx that escalated quickly and ended with an officer fatally shooting a motorist.

Attorney General Letitia James, who acts as a special prosecutor appointed to investigate certain police killings, argued that traffic stops for minor infractions often end in violence and that Allan Feliz's death last October after he was pulled over for a seat belt violation “further underscores the need for this change.”

Brooklyn lawmakers have proposed a bill the increase fines for those motorists that drive through city streets with obnoxiously loud mufflers and exhaust systems.

The bill presented by state Sen. Andrew Gounardes and City Councilman Justin Brannan, who represent parts of Bay Ridge, would ensure that officers can measure decibels levels.

The measure dubbed the Stop Loud and Excessive Exhaust Pollution, or SLEEP, Act was created for neighbors who say a recent surge in drag racing and revving engines doesn't let them get a good night’s sleep.

"Our legislation will curtail this anti-social and dangerous behavior and let neighbors get some sleep once and for all," Gounardes told the Daily News. "Times are stressful and the last thing families need when trying to get some hard-earned sleep is outrageously loud gratuitous noise keeping them up all night."

Red light cameras are unconstitutional. Plus if they haven't already, they want to wipe everyones suspended license status clean. So really if I get a ticket why bother paying, why register a car, if everything is gonna be total chaos. They said peoples license shouldn't be suspended for not paying a ticket...OK so you put these red light cameras/speed cameras in for safety but then you say people won't be held if not paid. Can't have your cake and eat it too. If you further read the article it states that AG found the shooting to be justified. But that there was no criminal activity to have a car stop. I believe no seatbelt is a VTL violation, so they had every right to make the stop. Furthermore, the driver gave his brother's ID instead of his. But let's continue to blame the cops for people breaking the law O and the driver was on federal parole and they found narcotics in the car that would have sent him back to prison.
