Minneapolis City Council approves measure to abolish police force

The vote to abolish the police force Friday will require amending the city’s charter. A draft amendment that was posted online suggests replacing the force with a “Department of Community Safety and Violence Prevention.”

The suggested department would consist of peace officers and ensure public safety through “a holistic, public health-oriented approach.”

This should be interesting; history will tell.

The mayor and the majority of elected officials need to take a good look at what’s going on now and realize what’s happening. Although I doubt they will. A few more months of this and the city is going to be just like it was in the bad old days.

I watched a "person of color" (hope that is the current acceptable description) on the news being interviewed. He said "how can expect white people to be open to, and support the BLM movement when black on black murders are rampant in our cities.
