Need party boat recommendation please

My buddy is visiting LI and I hope to meet him on Thursday to get out on a party or open boat for whatever is biting best. Half day, full day, evening doesn't matter, I just need to learn what boat to patronize or avoid, Captree preferred. I'll have tackle , gulp, rigs, etc for us trying to avoid the touristy boats... many thanks....

King Cod puts in a sincere effort at putting people on big fish. It is full day but Joe Christos and Mike will take care of your needs and put you on fish. If the ocean is rough you may want to consider any of the half day boat. the Princess, Pride, Jib VI and Laura Lee are all great boat that all give the same great service.

Weather looks OK for the first half of the day, with possible showers later on. Wind doesn't seem to be an issue.
Depends on how much you want to make fishing the priority and which body of water you want.
You can do a full day Captree Pride run in the Ocean which I think is 7-2pm and probably have a shot at keeper fluke and Sea Bass with a lighter crowd because its a weekday.
Half day from Captree would be fishing the GSB...I would imagine that keepers would be harder to come by.
Full day trip out of Pt Jeff with the CQ or Osprey and catch Porgy...they might also do half days.
Half day on the James Joseph in Huntington is also for porgy.

Many thanks Ally and Bachala. We may do twilight mixed bag if not the full day trip.... BTW, Amanda on Osprey is The Bomb, they spend winter in Atlantic City togging and I love their operation...
