Got a early start to the boat ramp on what would be the end of season tog trip for me. Got to the tackle shop for crabs & "closed gone fishing" I knew the owner had a trip planned for the day but thought for sure someone would have the shop open. Not a big problem, turned the rig around & back tracked a few miles to another bait store, it's now about 7:15 & the sign on the locked door says open 5:30, lights out no one around. I only had about 10 or 15 crabs left ove from the last trip, but what the hell it's a beautiful but cold morning so give it a shot. My first two drops produced no life, third drop was steady action with mostly shorts, & my last three baits produced two keepers. Early enough to make a few drifts in Plum Gut with not a hit, so it's back to the trailer. Started out not so good, but ended up a good end of season trip.
