They have better pitchers, and hitters that don’t chase anything off the plate. We swing at almost every friggin’ down and away slider. Why would they throw fastball strikes? They threw one to Vientos last night in the second inning and he parked it in their bullpen. After that a steady diet of off-speed stuff, off the plate. There is a path forward, but winning three straight from that team seems a bit optimistic. Still . . .

Lep is correct, at this juncture the adverb is the preferred usage over the adjective, at least for Mets Fans. A Dodgers fan would probably prefer it the other way around...
