Of all the teams he pitched for he was with the Yankees for the shortest. Two of his 12 years were with NY, yet they associate him with the Yankees.

Not to take this off topic but that was a GREAT two years! Imagine Rivera was the setup man! I went to many games that year!

My friend had seats in section 108 which is in right field. I didn't have any trouble keeping my intrest high. I never loose interest no mater where I sit. I'm just excited being at the game.

So I met Mariano at Frankie and Johnnys in da bronx at a luncheon.....one of my group asks him " Mariano...what does Joe (Torre) say to you when he comes out to the mound"? So he looks up for a second and says "He say to me....STRIKE HIM OUT"!!! True story and makes sense.....he was a pleasure and a gentlemen...so few of US

Seems my beloved Yankees have 2 more cases of Bronx flu. Sevy gets 4 more years at $ 40 million dollars and Hicksey gets $70 million for 7 years.OK, I know Sevy is a high octane pitcher. But it is only spring training and they will have to give ball to Tanaka for opener. but it's baltimore so we'll be ok.Those 2 guys will cost us losses due to WAR like Judge and Sanchez and Hicksey did last year. I hope Cessa and Frazier can play there butts off and hold the fort. It's always something. BTW, Sox were in middle of pack in losses due to WAR last year. And lucky as shit in analytics. Singles, doubles and walks team should have 4 fewer wins and RS/RA should have 5 less wins. more than half their team had career years in WAR. And please Nathan Eovaldi( our cast off) and Steve Pearce the Series MVP, really? and likely no Kimbrel in 2019. If we stay league average healthy (WAR): we win the division, the ALCS and our 28th ring, right? GO YANKEES. CIAO, John.

Just got in from my youngest back to Villanova , listened to the game on the radio .... After listening to Rizzuto , Messer , White , Sterling , Kay , I can't take S Waldman much longer .... A # 1 whiner , she just nags and complains about everything ,,,,,,
I sometimes wonder why Management keeps her in the booth , maybe she has compromising pictures of ownership ?

Birds took 2 out of 3. but I believe baltimore took 3 outta 4 early last year and yanks did ok. My sense tells me too many fair weather boys on Yankees and they heat up and tear butt when temperatures heat up. and another thing, Red Sox dropped 3 outta 4 to Seattle and could have been 0-4 if not mitch moreland heroics with a clutch home run surprising the mariners in game 2. long season, 159 games to go. we gonna be alright

I don't mind the Yanks losing , I do mind the announcers trashing the Birds on Fri as the 'worst' team in Baseball ......
Eating Humble Pie is not something they do well ,,, both on th Yankees Network and on Sports talk programs ... I listen about an hour a day while working or doing chores , IF they talk Baseball .........

I couldn't agree more. All I heard on Friday was how bad Baltimore is and they don't deserve be share the field with NY..they are an embarrassment to the MLB..blah blah blah. I wasn't happy they beat the NYY, but at the same time, I am waiting to hear blow hard Mike today back track and deny everything he said. He is such an ass.
As far as John and Susan....please please please get John some help. The poor guy has to call the entire game with no break while all she does is live reads and analysis...badly I might add. Because of this, his calls get tired, and listening becomes a chore. The Susan Waldman experiment has run its course and us Yankee fans would like a new voice, to help the old voice. I used to really like listening to baseball in the car or on the boat....now it tends too annoy me.

It all depends on who you ask. I don’t really mind her. I think she has knowledge of the game and players. AllyKat n Scupper, I couldn’t agree more about the way they trashed the Orioles. Bad karma n we still have to play them again this week away. I was hoping to see good at bats tonight from Gian Carlo but hear he’s on IR. I hope my guest dress warm.
