Oakland Lake and Kissena park

Sorry for the late report. I went fishing at kissena park yesterday. i wanted to fish on the ocean eagle yesterday but we had work done in the house and couldn’t make it. So instead I went went to the park and after a terrible start to the trip I did well. i tried lures and bread and I did have a hit on the crankbait but couldn’t connect and no hits at all on the bread. So I went and bought 3 dozen worms and it was game on. First fish a small bass then a lot of bluegill. I caught my personal best bluegill was over a pound. Sorry no pics the pic didn’t come out good at all. The one bass and about 15 to 20 bluegills from 3 to 12 inches. If I have time today will try sight fishing today with bread and lures. tight lines

I went fishing at kissena park today and fishing was great. So much for weather reports. I was hoping for a two hour window but I stayed a full day. I caught 6 catfish a largemouth bass and several bluegill. All catfish on bread one bluegill on bread and I tried a fly and I caught 10 bluegill. The bass was on the crankbait. I am taking a break for awhile. Hoping to go saltwater fishing next week. Here are some pics.

I left the house yesterday at 9am. It’s a half hour walk. I was looking to fish till noon and get home at 1230 before the rain at 1pm. So much for that it never rained at all. I left at 330.

Yesterday I went fishing at kissena and I caught several bluegills. Was trying bread for carp but they weren’t biting at all. Will try to go again today if there is time. Take a break tomorrow and try fluke on the ocean eagle on Thursday. Tight lines

Yesterday I went to kissena park and fishing was great caught 6 largemouth bass and several pumpkinseeds and bluegill. I was using worms. Going on the ocean Eagle tomorrow for fluke.
