One last Tog trip

So Frank Sr along with Frank jr and myself all agreed let’s get out Wednesday weather supposed be nice. Forecast partly sunny lite winds and mild temperatures. Well everything was right but the lite winds, by all means it was a lot better than it has been. So we get across the sound and on to the area we wanted to be, there were two other boats there we get the lines in and I noticed tide isn’t moving very hard. So change rods and over goes the jig, we are picking away at fish but nothing making 16”. I get a good hit set and I’m in the rocks waited it out and seen my line moving I lift hard and it’s game on the fish is out of the rocks. After many good runs Frank jr slips the net under my 22.5” tog. The fish weighed 7.04 lbs. we continue picking away at fish but no keepers coming up. I get another keeper at 17” and that was it for the day Frank and Frank picked away but no keepers. We made another drop on the way home and same results no keepers just a lot of life. And that wraps up my fishing season, got a few more deer hunting days to go.

Excellent way to close out your season, Vinnie. Any day you can catch a larger fish than the "legend" is a really good one!

I still have 4 charters on my books between tomorrow and next Sunday 12/1 the official close of my season. I will be thrilled if I can even get one day in considering the upcoming weather pattern!
