Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of bait to use at Playland Pier in Rye, NY?
My friend used to go there all the time but hasn’t been in a while, and has forgotten what he used to use. I would appreciate any helpful feedback.

Can’t go wrong with worms or bunker. Depends on what you’re targeting.

To anyone interested or looking for the answer to this question, bloodworms on a bottom rig is the way to go for porgy.

Bluefish and Striped Bass use bunker or mackerel
Porgy and Seabass - sandworms, clams or bloodworms
Blackfish - Asian crabs or green crabs

Bloodworns stay on the hook longer but are ridiculously expensive these days. I usually stick to fresh skimmer clam and crab when bottom fishing that area.
