Went to replace a hose on my spray head kitchen faucet which started to leak. Nice thing about Kohler is that they send you replacement parts free.
BUT it's a Collet connection, with the female part being all plastic. The "push the hose up so the white ring goes up and then pull down on the hose" instruction isn't cutting it, as I can't get the damn thing to move at all and am afraid to really push hard, lest I blow the fitting apart.
Yes, I could take the faucet out to do it, but what a PITA. Is there a trick I'm missing for a uncooperative collet connection?
