Loved WWW - RIP Robert

Born in Chicago on March 1, 1935, Conrad worked as a milkman while pursuing a career as a local nightclub singer before moving to Los Angeles in 1958 and booking his first big recurring role on Hawaiian Eye in 1959.

There are three cycles in showbiz,” Conrad told PEOPLE in 1988, while he filmed his then-new show High Mountain Rangers. “They don’t know you, then they love you, and then you’ve been around so long they hate you. Now I’m starting all over again.”

A recipient of the Distinguished Service Award in Broadcasting and an inductee of the Stuntman’s Hall of Fame, Conrad was a longtime supporter of amateur boxing, the Wounded Warriors Project, Paralyzed Veterans of America, the United States Marine Corps, and the Jimmie Heuga Endowment, which provides support to those affected with multiple sclerosis.

A small private service is scheduled for March 1, which would have been Conrad’s 85th birthday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project and The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

Conrad is survived by 18 grandchildren and eight children, whom he shares with ex-wives LaVelda Fann and Joan Kenlay.

RIP. I'm listening to America's Top 40 from this date in 1979, The Gambler at #27.
Casey talks about a book Kenny wrote on how to succeed in the music business, and how Kenny doesn't have to worry about retiring anytime soon. :(

My wife’s lifetime best friend lost her father this past Monday. He was a great man and coached my son in Pee Wee Football and also owned a semi- pro football team. In the 30 years I’ve know him , he always wore the Levittown Red Devils apparel. And thus changed the name of his Semi/ pro team to the Red Devils . Here is a post from his team.

RIP Denis, you will be missed by generations of people ?❤️

from Remarks on the passing of our owner Dennis Machado:

The Long Island Red Devils organization is with a heavy heart today. Our longtime owner, friend and father figure passed away.

2020 has been a strange, scary and emotional year so far. Not just for our organization, but for semi pro in the tri state area and the rest of the world.

Dennis wasn't just a team owner. He was a family man. He didn't care if you were black, white, blue, or purple. He loved everyone in his organization and outside of it. Many players that moved on from this organization or the Tribe organization would attest to this.

He loved football and he loved winning. Putting our organization in the position to win and to do things the right way.

Please keep his family, his community and his organization in your prayers.

At this time we do not have any further information about services. But we will keep everyone updated as long as the family approves.
