My wife’s lifetime best friend lost her father this past Monday. He was a great man and coached my son in Pee Wee Football and also owned a semi- pro football team. In the 30 years I’ve know him , he always wore the Levittown Red Devils apparel. And thus changed the name of his Semi/ pro team to the Red Devils . Here is a post from his team.
RIP Denis, you will be missed by generations of people ?
from Remarks on the passing of our owner Dennis Machado:
The Long Island Red Devils organization is with a heavy heart today. Our longtime owner, friend and father figure passed away.
2020 has been a strange, scary and emotional year so far. Not just for our organization, but for semi pro in the tri state area and the rest of the world.
Dennis wasn't just a team owner. He was a family man. He didn't care if you were black, white, blue, or purple. He loved everyone in his organization and outside of it. Many players that moved on from this organization or the Tribe organization would attest to this.
He loved football and he loved winning. Putting our organization in the position to win and to do things the right way.
Please keep his family, his community and his organization in your prayers.
At this time we do not have any further information about services. But we will keep everyone updated as long as the family approves.
