Hey guys I seem too have lost alert sounds from the ring on my phone all I get is the vibrate whan a notification happens anyone ever hear of this problem?

I was just looking at a you tube video of how to hard wire a ring door bell unit, & it looked complicated to me. Has anyone hardwired their unit, are all the parts included? Looks like you need a 110V feed & then wire it through a resister.

I have my own security system, I use milestone software and ip cameras, I have a sign outside that says " Protected by Gun Dog Security system.
I have a dog, my older son is a bail enforcement agent, NRA instructor and likes to collect guns, the only thing I fear is , if my house ever catches on fire, it's going to be bad. lol
