I thought you were talking about the car show on the Motor Trend channel, lol - those guys are funny.
I've hit a bunch of squirrels and birds in my day - nothing bigger.

Almost ran into two bucks in Smithtown last year. Deer get crazy during the rut which centers around early November but can last 5-6 weeks. Other times some of them are just plain stupid.

Where are I am, deer encounters are a daily occurrence, day and night. Have had many close calls and one strike.
With the strike, I came to a full stop. we stared at each other and he decided to leap across my hood. Was just about cleared then gave his hind legs a last pump and smashed the hood up pretty good.

See a heard of around 20-30 around City Island all the time. They usually stay off the roads. The turkeys on the other hand do not. I haven’t hit one but saw someone else hit one. Feathers everywhere, but nothing in comparison to the chunks of deer meat and 5 foot blood trail I see on i95 from time to time. Those tractor trailers must be a wreck afterwards.

This time of year deer strikes are not unusual on the north fork. I have had a few close, but no hits yet. I do have over 25 tails that I have "harvested" from deer that I have seen taking a nap on the side of the road.

fortunately North Fork speed limits allow for more time to react, that +65mph is deadly I’m sure, even so... cellie...

Saw a bear on the side of I80 around the 79 mile marker last Saturday. That must have made a mess unless it was a truck.

Once I hit this big hairy thing at 2am on the palisades parkway....I think it was a sasquatch.....I rolled my window down and asked if it was ok....it gave me the finger and went off into the woods...TRUE STORY!!
