Goes in the "hole" of a 45 so you you can play in it on a turntable...

They were for the auto-play record players where you could stack records and they'd drop, the old-fashioned playlist. Most real turntables have a solid plastic adapter that fits over the spindle, since you have to change the record manually. Some record players could use these...
