Hey NY Anglers!

So we got the south winds i was hoping for, however things did not pan out as planned. The day out of the wind turned into a brutally hot day with no wind. It was frggin hot. There was little to no bait to be found and I picked away at a bunch of small ones. Nothing over 16 inches. I did what Iike to call “the fluke grind” for six hours with only a 15 inch porgy.

I sure hope a new body of fish arrives soon.

Remember thou, and the rest of us, art mortal...

After 3 mornings of seeing breaking fish and catching, I didn't see a damn thing yesterday except:

I was out yesterday as well. There were tons of cinderworms in the water off the Northport /Ft. Salonga area. There were bass everywhere gulping on them. A few big bass on bunker. I managed 2 shorts on 1 drift and then later managed another 2 off Ashroken lighthouse. When those cinderworms spawn, I am convinced the fish really won't eat anything else.

Try slow rolling a big metal lip swimmer, especially in low light conditions. You are not going to get many bites, but you might be pleasantly surprised.
