Harley beggs too differ

hey - he's your dog - if you wanna risk his health that's your prerogative - just thought I'd post that to let you know what you could be letting him & you in for - Max does not get ANY human food other than the occasional pretzel of piece of bacon

You could give him eggs. We used to feed our dogs soft boiled eggs with some bread every now and then. That would be part of ther natural diet in the wild. Well maybe not soft boiled.

Yes bread and eggs Big part of a wild dogs life :rolleyes:

While I wouldn't feed them spicy food, our dogs ate table scraps. Never gave them bones, but we would strip the meat off of chicken carcasses or left over beef. We also poached sea robins and fed it to them. All 3 of our dogs lived long lives for their breeds and didn't have digestive problems.

he doesn't know what he's missing - so no need to feel bad - also keeps him from begging at the table & putting on extra weight

While Harl has managed to avoid getting bones stuck in his digestive track thus far - it doesn't mean it can't happen Why take the chance?

Buffalo wings are also not safe for dogs because they’re extremely high in fat. It’s recommended to avoid giving fried foods to dogs. Even if your dog gets ahold of buffalo wings by accident - the high fat content in the fried skin could trigger an incident of pancreatitis in your pup.

But again - Mr. Harley is your dog............

Milk Bones. Our dogs loved them. We kept them in a cabinet and when they came in from a walk they would sit in front of the cabinet and wait for their treat.
What are the treats that Harley likes? I remember giving then to him.

No need too Ive seen your links thats why I answered with experiance

So you with your experience you were aware that:
  • Buffalo wings contain cooked chicken bones, which are not safe for dogs to eat. These bones can crack and splinter off, posing a number of risks to your dog. He could choke or puncture his esophagus as he swallows, or the bone could become lodged in the intestine, causing a blockage. These are potentially life-threatening situations and you should avoid allowing your dog to come into contact with any sort of cooked chicken bone.
  • Buffalo wings are not recommended for dogs because of the spicy buffalo sauce used on them. Depending on what level of spicy you order, the spiciness of the buffalo sauce could cause your dog some discomfort or even pose a threat to his health.
  • If your dog ate buffalo sauce, it’s important to keep an eye on him. Spicy foods can cause dogs’ stomachs to become upset, giving them diarrhea or causing them to vomit. In some cases, spicy food can damage your dog’s esophagus.
  • Buffalo wings are not safe for dogs because they’re extremely high in fat. It’s recommended to avoid giving fried foods to dogs. Even if your dog gets ahold of buffalo wings by accident, the high fat content in the fried skin could trigger an incident of pancreatitis in your pup.
Many dogs manage to eat chicken wings with no long-term or serious health concerns, but it’s just not worth the risk.

Yes.
All of that came out of the article I Googled.
Because other then the obvious risk from the bones I don't trust my experience to know everything - all the time..................
