Our Quarry has a number if resident snook in it and every now and then one will be caught. This was one great fight!

I lived in south Florida for 2 years in the early 70's and visited my parents there for the next 30 years + after returning to NY. During all the time I lived there I never caught a Snook or a Tarpon. My Dad, avid fisherman that he was, did, catch both species.
Personally, I had to wait until a business trip to Puerto Rico about 10 years ago to get my first Tarpon, but the Snook have still evaded me.

I don't use a net when bass fishing. Good thing I had a New Yorker there to land it! The years of targeting striped bass on light tackle sure helped me land that fish. I end up going back out and managed this 5.7 largemouth. What a day!BTW, where is your net???
