Spring Family Fishing Festival at Belmont Lake Park

This is a great event to get the kids involved in fishing. I used to volunteer untangling lines and handling worms.

All are welcome to try their hand at fishing for trout with our loaner rods or bring your own on Saturday, April 6 from 10 am to 4 pm at Belmont Lake State Park in Babylon. The lake will be stocked prior to the event with brown, brook and rainbow trout. There is no fishing license required for this event. In addition to open fishing there will be fishing instruction, fly casting demonstrations, a fish cleaning station as well as children's activities such as the spring fling casting contest.
This event is made possible by support from the Department of Environmental Conservation, the I FISH NY program, the Natural Heritage Trust, NY State Parks and Recreation,The Fisherman Magazine, 102.3 WBAB Radio and 106.1 WBLI, Renewal by Andersen and Suez Water.
This event is FREE! A vehicle use fee of $8 will be in effect. Parking is free for Empire Passport holders. This event is rain or shine.
