St Johns Basketball

Well, that was quick. 🙁

Although they did come out of the locker room in the second half with guns blazing and knocked down a significant deficit they still never managed to do better than tie.

Oh well. Everybody get back on the bus.

They certainly look they are ready to make some noise in the big dance
 
They should get seeded in the East in a 2 seed. They were ranked #6 at the end so they should be one of 8 teams in the 2 seed. Would be great if they got to play in Newark with Duke with the 2 injuries Duke has. Almost as good if they can play up in Providence.
Lets hope there isn't a 1st round exit like the unbeaten Syracuse team losing to the Richmond Spiders.
Wish Ruben Prey would just get under the basket and dunk for points because he's kind of confused offensively. That 7 foot transfer they got from USC is starting to play pretty good. He was a 5 star recruit out of high school. St. John's has the #1 ranked defense in the country. 3 point shooting is over rated, I rather see mid range jump shots more often.

Great season. Far exceeded expectations. Looking forward to some good games. That said, no one team stands out. SJU has as good a chance as anyone!
 
Pressure is off after winning the 1st Tournament game. They gotta fix the defensive rebounding, they were awful against a weak team letting them get too many second chances. They say Arkansas isn't a deep team, so get them to commit fouls.

Poor ACC , they'll be looking for a merger with the Big East during the off season. 5 or 6 SEC teams lost.

Well, for starters, when you are a #2 seed in the tournament the pressure INCREASES with every win as you move forward
I doubt the ACC wants to merge with the Big East
After Today there may not be any Big East teams still dancing

Well ....... I'll be rooting for UConn otherwise I'll have to hear how overrated the Big East is......
 
St. John's hit the transfer portal right away and signed a 5 star Freshman Guard from Arizona State. Joson Sanon is a 6-5 guard and shot 36.5 percent from 3 , shot 45 percent from 3 in December before an injury. Considered a one and done before signing with Arizona State.
Most likely St. John's will sign Bryce Hopkins of Providence as well.
RJ Luis, Joson Sanon , Bryce Hopkins, Wilcher will mean a pre season top 5 ranking for St. John's. Love what Rick Pitino is doing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Richard Pitino is now the head coach of Xavier, Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!
