Supreme Court rejects affirmative action in ruling on universities using race in admissions decisions
The Supreme Court has issued a long-awaited decision regarding the future of affirmative action rules in American colleges and universities.www.foxnews.com
The U.S. Supreme Court handed down a major ruling on affirmative action Thursday, rejecting the use of race as a factor in college admissions as a violation of the 14th Amendment's Equal Protection Clause.
Many universities have argued that race-based admissions ensures that student bodies remain diverse, while critics such as the plaintiffs in the cases argue the policy discriminates against many qualified students based on race.
Students for Fair Admissions, a student activist group, brought cases against both Harvard and University of North Carolina. The group initially sued Harvard College in 2014 for violating Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, which "prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity that receives Federal funds or other Federal financial assistance."
WTF, is this because they'll actually have to pay for their education and the number of lawsuits available will be reduced because of these decisions???![]()

Supreme Court rules against Biden student loan debt handout
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in cases dealing with President Biden's student loan debt cancelation program, which had been on hold pending a decision.www.foxbusiness.com
The Supreme Court ruled Friday that the Biden administration cannot go forward with their student loan debt handout program.
Biden's Education Department had already been exploring potential workarounds to offer handouts via other means in anticipation of a ruling against the administration.
Republicans unveiled their own plan to address student loans and high college costs in June, introducing a series of five bills. The plan from Senate Republicans supports programs aimed at making sure students understand the real cost of college and also shuts off loans for programs that do not result in salaries that are high enough to justify those loans.
"This would prevent some of the worst examples of students being exploited for profit. It would force schools to bring down cost and to compete for students. What an idea," Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., said of the bill. "It would also protect students from getting buried in debt they can never, ever pay."
Like all the high school kids on Long Island that got summer jobs with all the towns who were then told to stay home due to COVID. All were given unemployment even though they never worked a day anywhere before. Average payout to each $10,000.00, who came up with PPP? Think blue.Well of course
That makes perfect sense
After all the monster tax breaks that were given to the richest people and all the PPP
loans that were forgiven for the folks with more money than they need, we cant just be helping out the peeps that need the most help??
