You know the old saying, "Americans live to work, Europeans work to live...", pretty much true with government mandated 5 or more weeks of vacation, and pensions.

OTOH, their taxation makes ours look feeble, "We don't know from taxation..." Norway started a tax on capital and it only lasted 1 year as all the shipping magnates said, keep that one up and we're out of here.

Interesting, but I checked out some of the local diggers' websites and they're all talking about a "severe shortage", being unable to fill most of their orders. There's no reason stated for the shortage.

I may call someone up to see if I can find out something more concrete...
