For all the folks piddling themselves over these events; be careful what you wish for.

The people who won never see something like this as a pushback against a few extreme policies or an individual they can't manage their emotions about. They always see it as an endorsement of their extreme views and go full blast in the other direction.

Then they'll be scratching their heads wondering what happened when the pendulum swings back the other way.
