Next time send a text and say are you available to talk now. Or are you busy?so............
My 37 year old daughter has always been involved in the arts (theater) for as long as I can remember. Whether acting, directing or writing. She's actually pretty decent in all three categories. Makes for a "proud papa moment" when I get the opportunity to see her work.
Her day job is working with autistic adults placing them in jobs & following up with their employers. A noble pursuit.
I didn't realize she was "active" at the moment. Apparently doing a play she is directing & acting in. Old English sort of thing complete with an accent that I don't know where she picked it up.
So of course I chose the worst possible time to give her a call over something trival. Took awhile for her to answer the call (& honestly - at this moment - knowing what was going on now - I don't know why she picked up - maybe figured I did something fatal?) she picked up in the middle of her role as a 12 century barrister (lawyer for those unaware).
Once she knew there was nothing seriously wrong she slipped back into character & chastised me for interupting her performance with something "sooooooo trivial". The whole cast was privy to the call of course..
I thought it was brilliant & couldn't stop chuckling until she delivered her killer rebuttal & hung up.
I'm afraid to call her back....
Think I'll wait until tomorrow.
