The never ending chat thread, chat about anything That your up too

Some Dumb Azz went clamming/oystering again today. He's now sucking down a single malt to wash down a fistful of ibuprofen, but that was after slurping down a dozen of the most delicious oysters...

Damm I hope feels better **HINT** take the ibuprofen before you know the pain gonna kick in

You are correct, but it was some Dumb Azz who should have known better. His problem was after picking up the oysters, the original plan, he decided to dig some clams...

relocating homeless peeps to sanitary housing was the way I was thinking, I can’t see how u would think otherwise...

Good Cell, I hand out singles often while walking around IN MANHATTAN.

WTF does somebody Who lives in the sticks and refuses to head west know And help people in need.

However, maybe puking up a shredder to some of these locations that have squatters and reduci g the numbers is not a bad idea.

That thing is nice, good shape.

Played trailer mechanic today, got my hands good and greasy. Had to replace my winch strap because some Dumb Azz forgot to secure it and when The Admiral Drove the trailer home, the strap also got "towed". It was pretty trashed by the hook so I figured I might as well replace it for my penance.

As far as trailer jobs go, this one was pretty easy, except I have one of those fancy, schmancy covered Fulton winches so I had to pull the side covers off. Also showed me the disadvantage of the "covered" look. When that salt water soaked strap goes on the spool it doesn't dry quickly and doesn't get rain washed. I'll be replacing the spool sometime in the next few years because it's getting really rusted and corroded.

So much aggravation for something I use twice a year. If anything else we owned was as crappy as a boat trailer, we'd never allow ourselves to buy it!!

Do you use the winch to keep it tight on the trailer? Or do you also have the hand winch that locks it in? I have a strong arm winch and it says to not use it to secure the boat. It should only be used to winch it up.

Interesting, I've never had a trailer winch owner's manual. I do have a safety chain too and when it comes to trailering I always feel safer with a "belt and suspenders" securing system. Because of the slack in the safety change I thought that was the backup, not primary...
