Ignoring the aches and pains from the afternoon. Many folks get excited by the First Monday in October, but this boy gets excited by the First Afternoon Negative Moon Low Tide in October which happened to be today. While I waited for the tide to go out enough to get to the oysters, I filled 1/2 of my 1/2 peck clam basked with clams. It's tough digging with all the rocks around here, but the end result is just delightful. After the tide got low enough, I quickly filled my limit with tasty American Oysters.

Was too tired to fight with opening clams or oysters, but did manage to make up a quick batch of white clam for some linguini. One can't get any fresher clams, these suckers were sitting in the mud only two hours before they were sitting on my plate.

Dang, did I miss a flame war? I was shot from digging and hit the rack very early...
WOW, I really did miss an all-out siege!! No "New" posts in any of the contentious threads since ~17:00 yesterday. Sorry @cany that I was AWOL and couldn't give you a hand.

Hope a few of the "usual suspects" are enjoying sometime out in Iowa. Being "landlocked" for a while may help them getting their mind right...
