Up in MD getting the VW serviced...

Didn't know if it was gonna happen. When I 1st got here (around 12:15) they had no power. They asked if I wanted to wait or come back tomorrow.

After driving 60 plus miles to get here you know I waited.

COMPUTER HELP

I'm trying to free up memory on my drive. Can I delete set up files? I have a TON of space being occupied by MicroSoft Office Set Up files. I'd like to either delete them or transfer to an external drive (you know - that little thing you insert into the side of the laptop).

Will this cause problems when trying to use WORD or EXCEL?

I found this but don't know if I can trust it.

Just like the article says, copy the setup files to a thumb drive. I'd keep the file structure the same, so just copy the folder that they're in over. Also make sure that you save any receipts or software keys too. You lose them and you'll pay again if you ever have to reload.

Paying for sins of Computer Sloth. Removing 4 versions of my video software, and additional 8 ancillary sets of apps/files because I've been consistently just upgrading without removing the older version.

After using Windows Uninstall, I'll go in manually to purge any remaining files and then load the newest version. The last 3 versions I have wouldn't import Blu-Ray videos. I'm hoping this will be the fix.

I’d listen to Roccus. I can’t help you. I’m lucky I can even turn the darn thing on ?

met up with "13" and the Brit for a few beers - Sandspinner was supposed to join us but he had a doctor's appointment on the other side of the Chesapeake - they closed the bridge due to high winds - don't know if he made it back..
