Study Finds Twisted Tea Tastes Best if You Plan to Toss the Empty Out of a Car Window Posted: 24 Jul 2019 10:15 AM PDT Orono – A new study from researchers at the University of Maine Cold Beverage Research Facility concluded something many Mainers already knew. The study determined Twisted Teas taste best if the drinker plans to throw them out of the window of a moving vehicle. “These results go a long way to explaining why Maine’s roads have so many Twisted Tea cans and bottles along the sides and in the ditches,” said lead researcher Dr. Chris Arnold. Over 200,000 Mainers participated in the study. “Everyone was very enthusiastic about taking part in the study,” Arnold said “Goddamn right I were,” said Lewiston native Sam Levesque. “Right tuned up.” Levesque said he was more than happy “to grab a rack of road sodas” and do his part for science. “I always start with 5 or 6 to the house, and they just don’t hit as good,” he said. While Levesque was happy to help out with the research, he said he wishes science would work towards answering other questions. “It’d be nice if one of them scientists could figure out how in the hell you get your picture on the Twisted Tea bottle.
