Having a fit. Just got an email that my EZ-pass account had an automatic payment deposited which struck me odd in that I got one last week too, right after we got back from the Midwest, but haven't traveled since. I logged in and saw a bunch of fraudulent charges so now I have to fight that battle, and customer service doesn't work on weekends, of course.

When they ask me to "prove" my case, I got the perfect "gotcha". There was a charge at the Chicago Skyway bridge from IL to IN on one day and 30 minutes later there was a charge at the Newburgh Beacon Bridge over the Hudson, 791 miles away!! If I could travel that many miles in 30 minutes, I'd gladly pay the charge, and even the speeding tickets for driving at a hair over Mach 2.

Anyone know of folks "ghosting" transponders? Sure looks like it's happened to me...

Yeah, if I can't do anything to reverse the charges I'm out like $57 which isn't too bad. I've deactivated that transponder.

The funny thing will be their "logic" if they try to defend rationalize that Mach 2 event. That might be worth the $57, an illogical explanation that ignores all the boundaries of the space/time continuum...

Ooppps, my bad, the time differential between those 2 was 12 hours & 30 minutes. Damn things got posted in order of charges hitting the account, not in sequence of charges.
